Monitorea a tu alrededor

NWS Hazardous Weather Conditions Notification
- Flood Watch until December 26, 04:00 PM PST
- High Wind Warning in effect from December 23, 04:00 PM PST until December 25, 04:00 PM PST
Puntos a destacar:

NWS Hazardous Weather Conditions Notification
- Flood Watch until December 26, 04:00 PM PST
- High Wind Warning in effect from December 23, 04:00 PM PST until December 25, 04:00 PM PST
OES has been working throughout yesterday with our Emergency Management staff and TID to determine the impacts of TID’s increased outflows from Don Pedro Reservoir. At 1300hrs yesterday afternoon, we convened a Threat Assessment Group (TAG) and the decision was made to activate the Stanislaus County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at level 3 (lowest). The decision to activate was made primarily to address potential impacts to two RV parks along the Tuolumne River, Driftwood and Terrace located River Rd and 9th St. The EOC will also continue to monitor County-wide storm impacts.
Some items of note:
• At 1700hrs yesterday, TID notified OES that they would be increasing outflows from Don Pedro at 1900hrs last night to 6500cfs, then to 7500cfs at 0700 this morning.
• Changes to outflows at Don Pedro take approx. 24 hours to be noticed in downtown Modesto.
• In coordination with our Law partners an evacuation warning to the two RV parks has been issued this morning while continuing to monitor river levels and evaluate the need for an evacuation order.
• CSA (our Care and Shelter Branch) has secured two shelter locations. Stanislaus County Fairgrounds at 900 N Broadway in Turlock and the American Legion Hall in Ceres at 2609 Lawrence. The Fairgrounds will be open today and tomorrow with shelter operations transitioning to the Legion Hall on Monday.
• The main impact to Stanislaus County is due to increased outflows from Don Pedro, rather than the rainfall at this time.
