The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning that will be in effect for our area from

Excessive Heat Warning in effect from July 2, 11:00 AM PDT until July 6, 08:00 PM PDT
- QUÉ… Condiciones peligrosamente calurosas con temperaturas altas de 105 a 115°F. Alivio nocturno limitado con temperaturas mínimas entre los 60s superiores y alrededor de 80°F. Esto resultará en un riesgo de calor mayor a extremo en toda la región.
- DÓNDE… Valle de Sacramento, norte del Valle de San Joaquín y las colinas circundantes.
- CUÁNDO… Desde la mañana del martes hasta la noche del viernes.
- IMPACTOS… El riesgo de enfermedades relacionadas con el calor aumentará significativamente durante este evento de calor extremo, especialmente para aquellos que trabajan o participan en actividades al aire libre.
- DETALLES ADICIONALES… El calor podría afectar gravemente las actividades al aire libre durante los días festivos. Se esperan las temperaturas más altas a partir del miércoles y continuando hasta el próximo fin de semana. Los cuerpos de agua en la zona seguirán corriendo fríos y rápidos, creando condiciones peligrosas para quienes busquen alivio en ríos y lagos.
ACCIONES DE PRECAUCIÓN Y PREPARACIÓN…
- Beba muchos líquidos, permanezca en un lugar con aire acondicionado, evite la exposición al sol y verifique el bienestar de familiares y vecinos.
- No deje a niños pequeños ni mascotas en vehículos desatendidos. El interior de un automóvil puede alcanzar temperaturas mortales en cuestión de minutos.

The Burbank Paradise Fire Protection District is seeking dedicated residents to donate their time for a great cause by joining the Board of Directors. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your community by contributing to the district’s mission of public safety and emergency preparedness. The board meets on the third Tuesday of every month Starting at 6PM, and there is currently a vacant position available. If you are willing to volunteer your time and help guide the district’s efforts, we would greatly appreciate your involvement!
